Who were some popular musicians and groups back then? Rock bands included Nirvana, Soundgarden, and Pearl Jam. Popular rappers were Tupac, Nas, and Eminem. Not to mention a bunch of other artists from various genres including Prince, OutKast, Shania Twain, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Eric Clapton.
